It’s confusing and hard for both of you. As a teen and as a parent it’s all hard.
As a teen, it’s heavy and it’s everything.
The school expectations, the friendships, the drama at school, the bullying, the body image issues, the family life that’s stressful, the relationship stress that you’re going through…
…it all matters and we want you to know that we are here to hear you, understand you, and help guide you.
We know that this time of life, comes with a whole mix of really hard things and you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
And you get to have a safe and private space that is JUST yours. So you can actually sort it all out and see your life get a little bit (or a lot a bit) better each day.
We aren’t going to tell you that you’re failing, doing a bad job, or messing up.
We are going to listen to what’s causing stress and pain for you, and get to know your strengths, what you’re good at, and help guide you to how YOU want your life to feel.
No judgments. Lots of understanding. And not just your average talk therapy session.
As a guardian or parent, you don’t have to be their therapist.
It’s been so stressful, consuming, and you’ve been worrying constantly.
You know that your teen is struggling, that they are going through a hard time, but you don’t know how to help.
You’ve done the best you can by trying to help them get back on track and to feel better. And at the same time, you know they need extra support.
And as a guardian or parent, you don’t have to be their therapist.
That’s where we come in.
With a ton of compassion, understanding, and expertise to help your teen heal.
They get to have their own private space to lay it all out there, and get some serious guidance and support around it.
So they can just be your kid. And you can just be their guardian or parent.
They can go home and you get to have that guardian/parent-child relationship you’ve been craving.
What teens can expect in their sessions?
Creativity to connect with you, and help you feel comfortable to open up (nope, we don’t do just talk therapy here).
Creative ways to work through what’s going on for you in the current, and what’s happened in the past.
And creative ways to help you make some changes outside of session.
